October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. This month is all about raising awareness for early detection.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Organization has made a lot of progress over the paste several years, but there’s still a long way to go and they need everyone’s help!
Throughout October, Del Sol is discounting several of it’s pink-colored color-changing nail polish up to 30% off to Celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Not only do we hope to generate awareness, but we also hope our polishes serve as a widespread reminder about the importance of early detection.
Perhaps those who see our polish change from one color without sunlight to a vibrant pink color with sunlight will bring a smile to their faces and remind them of this special month and what it’s all about.
This month and in year’s past, Del Sol has been involved in donating to the Susan G. Komen 5K race by way of donating Del Sol clothing and accessories to raise funds for this great cause.
Last month, Del Sol donated several of its products to the annual Bras for a Cause event in Michigan via Gilda’s Club (charity honoring the late, great Gilda Radner), which raises funds to support the breast cancer cause and its support groups. All the models of the Bras at the event are breast cancer survivors.
We encourage you to get involved in one of these causes or one in your hometown. There are so many to choose from these days, and you can make a big difference by participating.
