by Del Sol opened its newest store this week in the popular resort of Sun City, South Africa! The store is located in the entertainment center of Sun City, which is the country’s premier vacation destination, comprising two world-class golf courses, a water park, four luxury hotels, and a safari park reserve next to the resort. Del Sol Store Designer, Lisa Kikkert, and Del Sol Regional Sales Director, Justin Moore, who were onsite for the build-out, can personally attest to the park having all five of the big-game animals.
New store owner, Chene Joubert, who first saw Del Sol products several years ago at the Bayside Mall in Miami, had a dream of opening a Del Sol store in her native South Africa. After working two years to gain permits and approvals for the right location, her dream was realized, and she’s thrilled to have the store open.
The first week of being open has attracted locals, tourists and neighboring businesses alike. Chene will be attending Del Sol’s PW University next month and looks forward to meeting the entire Del Sol corporate team at that time.
Sun City is located between the Elands River and the Pilanesberg, about two hours’ drive from Johannesburg, near the city of Rustenburg.
Several famous musicians have performed at the venue, such as The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, Rod Stewart and Elton John. Sun City also has two international-standard 18-hole golf courses, the Gary Player Country Club and the Lost City Golf Course, both designed by Gary Player.
