Del Sol this month launched its new color-changing play swords for kids to its more than 100 Del Sol store locations worldwide.
Customers can now unsheathe the power of Del Sol’s color-changing technology with these new Sol Swords that change color with the slightest touch of sunlight. You remember how in Disney’s movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” the pirates showed their true selves in the moonlight and they were just bones? These swords show their true identities in the sunlight.
The Buccaneer Sword magically changes from silver to gold with sunlight, and the Skull & Bones Pirate Sword changes from white to blue with sunlight. Swashbuckling adventures under the sun await the wielder of either of these one-of-a-kind swords.
“We hope these color-changing swords encourage your children’s imagination by playing make believe with them out in the sun,” said Brian Ciccotelli, Del Sol Global Sales Training Manager. “The swords are built for impact, so they won’t chip during combat. They’re made of hard plastic and will hurt if you hit somebody, so play nice.”
The pirate swords are available for boys to try out the color change inside the Del Sol stores. The color change is extremely vibrant and, be forewarned, once you put a sword in a boy’s hand, it’s hard for him to put it down. Don’t be surprised if you find your children challenging other customers to a duel in the store.
Del Sol customers can create a full pirate outfit with Del Sol’s color-changing pirate medallion necklace, color-changing pirate sword, and color-changing pirate shirt.
Both Sol Swords are sold in select Del Sol stores and on DelSol.com at $12.
