The first Del Sol store in the country of Greece opened this week in the beautiful, ancient city of Mykonos, known for its signature white-stone, blue-accent architecture juxtaposed the Aegean Sea. With this store opening, Del Sol stores can now be found in 29 countries and growing.
New store owner, Steve Panagiotidis, and wife, Carolina, first experienced Del Sol in Aruba and immediately knew it would be a hit in the Greek Islands. They settled on Mykonos in Old Town based on the tremendous amount of tourism.

The new store is 550 sq. ft. and receives more than 300 cruise ship visits per year, as well as calls from the vast ferry services that operate throughout the Greek Islands.
Steve and his team developed the building from an older, three-room workshop into the beautiful Del Sol store we have now. It will employ four, full-time local employees to help with the extended opening hours. The streets are packed in Mykonos every day until 3 a.m. in high season.
Mykonos is part of the Cyclades, lying between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos. The island spans an area of 85.5 square kilometers and rises to an elevation of 341 meters at its highest point. There are 10,134 inhabitants most of whom live in the largest town, Mykonos, which lies on the west coast. The town is also known as Chora.
