Del Sol Introduces Graphic Tee Designs to Brighten up Your Winter

Del Sol this month released to the world its fall-winter graphic tee collection for men, women, and children through Del Sol online and Del Sol showrooms worldwide. Several color-changing shirt designs feature stylized region-specific prints that showcase some of our most vibrant color-change creations to date.

Each new graphic tee features Del Sol’s Spectrachrome® color-changing technology that causes the shirt design to burst into color with sunlight and then return to its original color without sunlight. All new shirt designs were created by Del Sol’s in-house art and illustration team.

This fall-winter collection contains more than 30 new prints for all ages and interests – all featuring Del Sol’s color-changing inks and dyes and offered on a variety of new shirt colors and styles.

“The new color-changing designs pop with color when you step out into sunlight and watching them change color never gets old – they’re guaranteed to make you smile,” said Scott Brady, Del Sol VP of Communications. “This graphic tee collection has something for everyone.”

The regional graphic tees include prints that would feel most at home in mountainous or desert landscapes, along the United States’ West or East Coastlines, in Hawaii, in the Caribbean, or anywhere tropical.

Inspiration for these particular shirt designs come from multiple places, and we’ve gone behind the scenes and interviewed our amazingly talented artists to give you the inside scoop on these color-changing masterpieces: “The greatest inspiration for these recent graphic tees comes from life itself,” said Kent Barney, Del Sol Art Director. “I try to notice and remember things that catch my eye. Lately I’ve been drawn to the subtle textures you can create by allowing a little bit of the shirt to show through the ink.”

Several prints contain some highly detailed textures and photo-type qualities, which are extremely challenging to create with our proprietary UV inks. After many attempts and adjustments, the Del Sol artists are able to achieve the textured look in various designs that produce a photograph look in the sky without using any permanent or black ink, which allows the colors in the sky to remain clean and bright.

Del Sol graphic tee fabric is pre-shrunk, double-stitched, 100% combed cotton, which provides exceptional comfort, softness and durability.

“Overall the designs are a collaborative effort,” said Zach Clough, Del Sol Artist. “We work from a list of ideas and reference images that are generated internally. We typically get a lot of inspiration from things around us in our lives. We also like to tap into music and art when working on certain stylized illustrations.”

  1. I purchased a childs xs t-shirt when in Belize 2 weeks ago and it’s too small for my granddaughter. can I exchange it for a small?

  2. Thanks for reaching out about your T-shirt. Very sorry that it didn’t fit. Where this shirt was purchased at our location in Belize, we may need to coordinate with that location to get you a larger size – this would only apply if the shirt says Belize on it, as they have custom shirts that we don’t keep in our inventory at our global distribution center. If it doesn’t have the name, Belize, on it, then we should be able to replace it. Please contact our CS Team at and they will help you out with this.
