The stunning, other-worldly peaks of Zion National Park, a place people will travel the world to see, is only 33 miles from St. George. A quick 40-minute drive, and you’ll be experiencing a red and orange-painted landscape unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Hike the famous Narrows or Angels Landing trails or the Emerald Pools trail (good for younger kids). St. George is known for its hot, arid climate. Take a day to cool off at the breathtaking Sand Hollow Reservoir. The beautiful blue water vividly contrasts against the red sandstone, making it seem like a lake from another planet, and a must-see attraction when visiting southern Utah.
Kayak, paddle board, swim or dive. All are available to rent or bring your own. Whatever you desire to do, Sand Hollow Reservoir won’t disappoint. Remember to bring lots of sunscreen!
