Del Sol Color Changing Nail Polish and Color Changing Tee
By Full Time Mama
My daughter is a perfect mix of girly girl and tom boy; with 3 brothers I wouldn’t have expected much less! One of her very favorite things to do is paint her nails. I, however, am not a big fan. I can’t do my own very well and half the time the polish chips off before I feel I’ve been able to truly enjoy it. However, I occasionally spend time with her painting her nails and letting her paint mine.
We received a bunch of assorted nail polishes from Del Sol. Del Sol has tons of different color changing products. Each of these products changes color in the sun (something we have TONS of here in Arizona)! Using their secret formula, each of the different products they sell changes color in the sun. The colors of the nail polish you see below are what it looks like on your nails indoors. Outdoors, the sun changes it to the color shown on top of the polish bottles. Neat, right?!
Brooke was thrilled about getting so many and wanted to try every single color. I painted her nails with two alternating colors and her toes with three alternating colors, and then we used the final color on my nails.
The first thing I noticed was the polish did not smell as strong as most polishes I’m used to. This was a welcomed surprise. On each of the bottles we got it says there is no Formaldehyde, Toluene, or Dibutyl Phthalate in the polish. After looking up what those chemicals are, I’m definitely glad those aren’t in there. Yikes!! It is scary to think that those chemicals are in other nail polishes I may have and be using on myself and my daughter! I also noticed that the polish dries pretty fast, which was very convenient since neither of us has enough patience to sit long without doing anything to wait for them to dry!
When our fingers and toes were exposed to the sun… Wow. It really was shocking to see them change at all, let alone as fast as they did. The colors were also very vibrant and clearly visible. It does have to be exposed to direct sunlight though; putting it in front of a window in the light doesn’t work. I love how the colors are subtle inside, but really pop in the sun.
We were also sent the color-changing shark tee. I got this for Erik for Christmas, so he hasn’t actually worn it or even seen it yet. However, the design on it is really cool, and once it’s out in the sun it’s even more awesome! I am shocked at just how bright the colors got in the sun, especially since there doesn’t appear to be a stitch of color on it when it’s not in the sun. I know he’s going to love it so much, and I’m sure I’ll be headed over to the Del Sol site to get each of my other kids their own color-changing tee as well. Since they also sell men’s and women’s color-changing tees, mom and dad may get their own too!
With items anywhere from nail polish to tees, sunglasses to tote bags, Del Sol offers a fun gift for anyone on your holiday list!
