To quote from Mayor Iorio’s Web site:
“Del Sol made a donation to the Mayor’s Youth Corps to help sponsor its annual trip to the National League of Cities Congress of Cities Conference. They also presented a check to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay in support of the Mayor’s Mentoring Initiative. Del Sol specializes in products that change color in the sun ranging from t-shirts, board shorts, and sunglasses to nail polish and jewelry.” (Dustin Tate is shown below with Mayor Iorio and the Mayor’s Youth Corps.)
All eight Del Sol Florida locations participated in a special “Paint Your Nails Day” in conjunction with this donation over the same weekend. It created an influx in Del Sol buzz throughout several Florida communities in the Tampa region.
Florida Stores Host Paint Your Nails Day
Del Sol put the fun into last week’s Big Brothers/Big Sisters (BB/BS) and Tampa Mayor’s Youth Corps activities in Tampa, Florida. We donated $1,000 to youth programs for the BB/BS and $2,500 to the Friends of Tampa Recreation Inc. Dustin Tate was on location in Tampa to present the oversized checks to each organization. After the check ceremony with Tampa Mayor, Pam Iorio, and BB/BS dignitaries, the kids from both organizations tried out the Del Sol products at a park next to the mayor’s office. Several of Tampa’s news stations, publications and newspapers covered the event. Additionally, all Del Sol stores in Florida and BB/BS of Tampa hosted a “Paint Your Nails Day” on Saturday for all end customers and kids of their organization. This event was a big success and was also covered by several media outlets in the Tampa region.
