Del Sol’s opening in Tokyo, Japan makes it the 24th country of operation for Del Sol. It’s an incredible undertaking for the entire Del Sol team to open a new store in Japan, despite all the recent challenges the country is facing. New store owner, Shigeru Miwa, is very optimistic about his store and the future of Del Sol in Japan.
Miwa had this to say in an email directed to the Del Sol team: “In spite of serious earthquake disasters, nuclear power plant failures, or other many obstacles, we finally have reached the great result. This success is fully [relayed back to] you, Del Sol’s support by all team members. There are so many people to thank. Please share that [store opening pictures] masterpiece that is your product. Thanks from the bottom of our heart and give our best regards to all of Del Sol’s party members.”
The Tokyo store is situated in a shopping complex called, The Decks Tokyo Beach, Waterfront City, located on Tokyo’s south side. This area is divided into four districts: Daiba (where Decks Tokyo Beach is located), Aomi, Ariake, and Ariake Minami. Among these four districts, Daiba is the main attraction for shopping, gourmet and leisure entertainment. Visitors are predominantly tourists from Korea, China and other parts of Asia.
