One of Del Sol Corporate’s very own donated his long, orange-blonde mane to the Locks of Love organization this week. For several months now, his tangled tresses were a topic of conversation around the office. They’d grown past his shoulders; and honestly, everyone had become accustomed to his shaggy style.
Then, one day without warning, he lopped off his golden locks and donated them to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that would turn his hair into a beautiful hairpiece for a child suffering from long-term medical hair loss.
We never knew he had such a sweet scheme hiding under his bushy brow, but we admire his determination despite months of hair-raising ridicule. And with that, we bid his hair farewell and salute the man who grew it. Thanks Duane!
About Locks of Love
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers. Visit Locks of Love’s website for more information.
