This is a landmark store as it’s the first full, inline Del Sol store to open in the country of France.
New store owners, Fabienne and Francis Chicard, are delighted with their new Del Sol store and all its amazing color-changing products, which are tailored to having fun under the French-coast sun. For the time being, the Chicards have certainly cornered the color-change market in France. They first discovered Del Sol while on a cruise in St Lucia and have wanted to open a store ever since. Fabienne is very much looking forward to this being the first of many Del Sol stores in France.
The Del Sol store is located in the sunny, seaside city of La Palmyre Les Mathes, one of the busiest vacation destinations on France’s west coast, which is about 2 hours from Bordeaux. This area of France is world famous for its oysters. It’s also home to one of the biggest zoos in Europe and over 29 horse races each season – all of which bring tremendous tourism to the more than 25,000 hotel rooms that are within a 5-mile radius of the store. La Palmyre also caters to a vibrant, thriving night market that plays out twice a week.
We’re looking forward to a bright future ahead for this new Del Sol store and further expansion into more locations in France. Until then, my one wish would be for all of us to somehow be telepathically transported to La Palmyre to enjoy a Del Sol color-changing product party under the sun.
