Del Sol this week opened a beautiful, new store in the Western Caribbean cruise ship port of Roatan, Honduras, a popular port that continues to attract millions of cruise customers annually.
The new store is in the Mahogany Bay Cruise Port Shopping Terminal, which is operated by Carnival Corporation. The Del Sol store is located in the best possible spot inside the pier and is the first store seen as cruisers disembark and walk into the port.
The Del Sol Store Design Team organized and built out this world-class store, featuring all the latest Del Sol color-changing Sun Stations, fixtures, displays, graphics and products.
Former PPI Cruise Port Lecturer, Luis Gonzales, is the new Del Sol Roatan General Manager, and he’s put together an incredible team of employees. In addition to working with PPI, Luis also spent many years working with Diamonds International and Coca-Cola.
Over the past month, Luis received over 90 applications and resumes, interviewed over 40 of those candidates, and narrowed the list down to the top 8 employees (shown above with the Del Sol Corporate Build-out Team).
The entire staff worked tirelessly throughout last week to help open the store ahead of schedule, as there was a huge demand to shop the store for the holidays.
Most visitors to Roatan love to play in the warm, crystal-clear shallows of Mahogany Bay. Scuba diving, snorkeling, zip-lining, sport fishing and jungle touring.
